The other day I used Feedmap to find bloggers near me and I ended up adding about 12 new feeds to Bloglines. I found a lot of cool stuff so far. One idea that I think I'll try is a photo of week on this site. So every week I'll take a photo of something and post it, just to get into the habit of taking pictures. I think I'll start on Sunday. This post is to remind me to put up a photo then.
I'm trying out this Bloglet service that sends an email each day of what I post. It's not as good as using a real feedreader, but if it's the only thing that gets you to read my blog, then so be it. I just set it up so hopefully it's working. I think it sends an email of all the posts I made during the day. I don't know, I'll just wait and see how it works out. You can subscribe using the textbox on the right. I could do a mailing list where it sends out an email each time I post, but I don't know if that would fill up your inboxes too quickly.
I'm always late. Last week was national tell-a-friend-about-blogs week. I sent out emails to my friends and family from within Bloglines to help get them started using Bloglines, as that's my feedreader of choice. Sorry if I didn't send you an invitation. All you have to do is go to Bloglines.com and sign up for a free account. Then you add blogs that you like. It'll then tell you when there's new posts to the blogs.
For a while I've been meaning to post about how to use a feedreader and to get more people started on reading blogs, but now I've found the perfect way to explain that stuff for you. This comes from a horrible character (fake) blog made by (for?) Proctor & Gamble.
