Horny Manatee is real

Last night on Late Night with Conan O'Brian, Conan ad libbed a joke about the web site hornymanatee.com, which wasn't a real site at the time. Tonight he said that NBC called him after the previous show and said that NBC is required to buy the domain name for any web site mentioned on shows that doesn't already exist. So now hornymanatee.com is a real site, and NBC owns it for the next ten years. What a weird rule.

I wish I thought of registering it at the time...

EvokeTV Shuts Down

EvokeTV is gone. They couldn't get enough funding to keep it running. EvokeTV was this great web site I used to use to get TV listings. It was so well done and useful and right now I don't have anything to replace it. Sure there are other TV listing sites, but they're all so cluttered and hard to use. Now I'll have to go back to channel surfing.

Does anyone know of a good TV listing site? Sometimes I would use Yahoo, but I'm not that into it.

Borat can't get into the White House

The White House won't let Borat in. You know, Borat faintly reminds me of someone, but I can't quite place my finger on it...

I guess President Bush won't get his personal invitation to Borat's movie. Also, Kazakhstan is a real country. Who knew? They're a big oil producing country. That's really all we need to know. Other than that, they hate Borat. I have no idea why.

Scrubs on Comedy Central

Scrubs is being played on Comedy Central at 7:00pm and 7:30pm on weekdays. Wow, what a great show. It's hilarious. I think before Comedy Central started playing it I didn't realize that it was a comedy show. I thought it was just another hospital show. Somebody needs to fill me in on good shows I should be watching. It's kinda funny too because this is the same way I got hooked on Late Night with Conan O'Brian. I didn't watch that either until Comedy Central started playing the episode from the night before. Now I try to catch it on NBC when I remember. Also, I missed out on Seinfeld until it ended. I think I watch all the bad network primetime shows and miss the good ones until they're done. At least I saw Arrested Development when it was still on. Anyway, you should watch Scrubs, it's pretty good.

Stephen Colbert Bridge

There's some voting thing going on where people get to vote online for the name of a bridge somewhere. Stephen Colbert encouraged his viewers to vote for his name, so I'm trying to help out. Go to this link, do a control F, search for Stephen Colbert, and click the radio button next to his name. Then submit your vote by clicking on Elkuld at the bottom. You can vote as many times as you want. As of this writing, Colbert has 3% of the vote. He's beating Chuck Norris, but losing to Perl-script. Those Perl scripters seem to be pretty dedicated. I don't know when the voting ends, but I'll post updates if I don't get bored with this.

[Update]: It's for the name of a bridge in Hungary, and the voting ends on September 8th.
