Scrapblogging
I tried out scrapblogging on Scrapblog. Here's what I came up with.
It's pretty much scrapbooking but on the Web. You pick some photos, move them around, add some text and clipart, and save them as a slideshow or export to flickr. Scrapblog is a web application, so all the editing is done on their web site. You just need Flash to use it. It's pretty cool, but I'm probably not going to use it too much. Maybe later for a special occasion.
I broke the swing
Take a look at my flickr page for more photos of the swing. It turns out the hook broke off and the wood on the other side of the swing arm broke. So we have to get the swing repaired and then get new swing hooks. We're going to get some new chains too.
This happened in the same week that I fell out of my chair and held on to the keyboard drawer on my desk, which then fell onto the floor along with my keyboard and mouse. Luckily my keyboard and mouse still work. That fall was really dramatic, and in comparison, the swing fall wasn't as bad. I didn't even really fall, because I landed on my feet. It was still scary though.
Stock Photos
There was a great SitePoint thread about stock photos. It's hilarious. It got started because of this post with the top ten stock photography cliches. The cliches are funny enough, but in the thread there's a link to this page, where there's a stock photo of a guy checking out a girl under the "Participate Now" heading. It had me laughing out loud.
Shower Note Tablet
I've been looking for a shower notepad type thing for a long time now, because I always come up with my best ideas while in the shower. Then I forget them when I get out of the shower. But no more. I found a shower note tablet here. This is a photo I posted on flickr of my shower brainstorming.
