Karaoke Revolution American Idol
At first I was thinking I wasn't going to like the new version of Karaoke Revolution, because it has an American Idol theme, but after seeing this song list, it's looking pretty good. The last Karaoke Revolution (aside from Country), Karaoke Revolution Party had a somewhat weak song list. It just didn't get as much play time as the other games in the series, so hopefully this next one will be a lot better.
Did you know
Did you know that Yesterday by the Beatles is the most covered song? There's been over 3000 recorded covers of it, and I haven't heard any of them.
How the Nike + iPod works
Earlier I made a joke about the iPod compatible shoes, but now I found out what this Nike + iPod stuff is all about. You buy an extra thing for your iPod Nano and it comes with something that attaches to the Nano and a sensor that goes on your shoe. Then it tracks your running or walking, and tells you how far you went, calories burned, pace, and so on. When you get home it uploads the data to your computer and sends it to the Nike web site which makes graphs and does some other things. Sounds pretty interesting. I think this would be more accurate than those pedometers that do the same things since this sensor is actually on you shoe. It sounds like you can also buy special Nike shoes that already have the sensor, which is probably what Nike wants you to do.
Here's Rasmus Lerdorf's review of Nike + iPod, which is where I got this information. Rasmus is one of the original creators of PHP, my favorite web programming language.
Now my shoes aren't compatible?
Nike + iPod requires the Nike + iPod Sensor and Receiver Kit, an iPod nano with software version 1.2 or later, Nike+ compatible shoes, and iTunes 6.0.5 or later. To see your workout data on nikeplus.com, you must have an Internet connection and a free Nike.com account. For more information, visit http://www.apple.com/nikeplus/.
By the way, there's a new version of iTunes. I hope it lets me burn CDs again.
Frequency and Drupal

This is a neat six degrees type thing. I have a video game called Frequency which is a music game, and it has songs from real artists. One of the songs is XLR8R by Orbit. It's pretty good and I'd never heard it before at the time, which was a few years ago when Frequency was somewhat new. Anyway, I've been listening to the Lullabot Drupal podcast lately. It wasn't until the other day that I realized that one of the guys who does the podcast, Jeff Robbins, was in the band Orbit. Pretty cool how things like that work out.
