I guess it's true that you blog less when interesting things are going on. Alex had a birthday party on Friday. He had it at this place. They make it sound all fancy and high class on the web site, but it didn't really seem like that. I'm not sure about that dress code either. But I haven't been to any other club before so I can't compare. Anyway, the party was fun, and Alex had a good time most of the time, so that was all that mattered. He posted some photos and said thank you to the guests over at killkaraoke. So check that out, even if you just skip to the photos. Alex is beefin with that random couple that crashed the table. I can't believe he called them out like that on the Internet, but I guess I can understand the frustration.
Before that party though, there was an A Roman Holiday show here in Norfolk. So Jay was down to visit for the weekend. Oh yeah and if I haven't mentioned this lately, buy their CD. Anyway, the show was good as far as I know. Like I really wouldn't be able to tell if it was bad, since I don't know music stuff. All I know is nothing horrible happened. A band called Gist, from DC, played first. They were cool too, and their lead singer wasn't super skinny or white, so that was a refreshing change from the other usual bands.
I almost didn't know about the show because ARH posted a bulletin on Myspace on March 1st, but I missed it because all my other friends keep posting stupid surveys and chain letters so it pushed that bulletin down by a page or two. I don't know how other people keep up with useful bulletins while scanning through all that junk. It's worse than email because the junk is actually coming from my friends.
I was just looking at the Relative Theory Records blog, and wow it has a lot of cool stuff. If I was really into music like that, in addition to being a nerd, it would be great. They have RSS feeds for everything, including videos, music, and events. And they use WordPress. I wish my blog was powered by WordPress. Just kidding. See what kind of cool stuff your site could have, John. I wish Jay would let me redo the ARH site for him. It would end up being cool too. Then I could subscribe to their RSS feed so I'd get the notice about shows.
