Vonage a few months ago. It was rattling and I figured it had a CD inside. But instead it had scissors, which was kinda weird. Then I read the box and it says "Want to cut your phone bill in half?" and then it tells you to get your phone bill and cut it in half using the scissors. That's really clever, and I think pretty amazing that they would send out scissors, even if they are safe plastic ones. But there's a bunch of warnings on the box too, about keeping them away from kids and so on. Anyway, I liked that so much I showed other people and I'll probably save this for later. So here's a cheap plug for Vonage. It's a phone service using a broadband Internet connection. And if you're a company and want me to talk about your stuff, send me something free or clever. Preferably both. And by the way, free money with no strings attached is both free and clever. So send that. I'll take a photo of the money and post about it.
